Well, this was unexpected. An English friend of mine mentioned in passing that her favorite book was 'The Shell Seekers' by Rosamunde Pilcher. My interest was piqued, but I decided that I would read a shorter novel by Pilcher to get a taste of her brand of fiction before getting too invested. And thus I bought 'The Empty House'/5.
